Mission

Mission Partners

St. Andrew’s Church has always been an outward looking church, both to its community and to the wider world. It has a strong tradition of supporting missionary work throughout the UK and the world. As a church we are committed to supporting missionary societies, in prayer and financially with 10% of our income going to support our mission partners.

We support:

  • Scripture Union, Hungary. We encourage visits to assist with the annual holiday clubs and we are privileged to welcome the Chief Executive from Hungary to our church every year or so.
  • The Church Army Medway Centre of Mission. This is a relatively new link. We have visited them twice and in return they have joined us in a Sunday service.
  • The Princess Basma Hospital in Jerusalem treats Palestinian children with disabilities. Again, this is a relatively new link for St Andrew’s.
  • Bereko (see separate page/s).
  • Mission Opportunities Fund from which we provide one-off donations, often in response to disasters and emergencies.

We also have a Fair Trade Shop, celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary in 2026! This sells fairly traded food and handicraft along with second hand items. Our shop is a constant reminder to us of how the God of mission is working across the world to bring hope and change.
