As we shall not be able to open and meet during Holy Week the following may be of some help as we prepare to celebrate Easter.
The week that Changed the World – series of videos for each day from Palm Sunday to Easter Day
God’s Big Easter Story for Families – A Holy Week Journey for Families – God’s Big Easter Story: provides your family with a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith together as you remember the events leading up to Jesus’ death and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.
Holy Week Journey for Young People – This reflective journal has been designed to be used alongside God’s Big Easter Story—a Holy Week journey for families, but for teenagers and runs from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday
Holy Week at Home – These resources are designed to help you reflect and celebrate at home. Starting with Palm Sunday we are going to explore the events of Holy Week through the creation of an Easter garden. Every day there are suggestions for things to do and think about, and ideas on how you can create your own Easter garden.
Arts and Faith for Lent – this page comes with a series of creative ideas to help get into the events surrounding the suffering, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus.
Journeying through Holy Week with Mark’s Gospel – “The important thing about Holy Week is that it is holy. In it, time and life are set apart for the exclusive use of God, and become charged with God’s love and grace. To set them apart we have to ask the vital questions “Where is God in the mess of life all around us?” and “What does God want for us and want of us in it all?”. Those questions are particularly strong as we face the chaos, pain and uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. They were also the questions facing Jesus and his followers in the week of the cross and the empty tomb.”
We are happy to announce that we shall be opening for Easter after the 3rd Lockdown.
Starting on Good Friday when we will meet in Church for An Hour at The Cross at 2.00pm. Entitled “What we have seen and heard” the reflections take us to the witness’ of Jesus death and resurrection and the impact this made on their lives. You will need to book in, and this can be done HERE
