HARVEST 2020 (26-27th Sept)

Like many things this year Harvest will look a little different in our church. But the themes that surround the festival of : thanksgiving, celebration, remembering and stewardship remain as important this year, if not more so.

Due to limited numbers in our Church services we are not able to host all that may wish to come, so we have had to make other arrangements. Therefore, we would value your help and support as we celebrate this festival in the following way.

We shall again be collecting for our local Paddock Wood Food Store which seeks to support and help those living in challenging situations, by providing much needed food parcels.

On Saturday 26th September our church will be open from 10.00am – 4.00pm to receive your gifts of non perishable items. You will be guided to a windowsill or ledge and asked to place your items there. These items will remain here for the service and until later that week before the Foodstore helpers come and retrieve the items.

On Saturday 26th September St Andrew’s will be hosting a Family Harvest Quiz Night via Zoom. Open to anyone who would like to join us simply email our Children and families worker Hanna Rosser on [email protected] and she will send you by return the login in details for the evening. It will be a great way to get to know others at St Andrew’s….

Finally, we are encouraging anyone who reads this page to join us in setting aside one meal during the Harvest weekend to remember and reflect. Using the short interactive worship sheet below, reflect on some of those themes mentioned above. It takes you from the preparation of the meal through to its eating and is can be used in a family unit or on your own.
