Home Groups are small group meetings where different aspects of ‘being Church’ are nurtured, encouraged and practised.
In Acts 2.42-47 four key ingredients of Christian fellowship are indentified: Bible study and discipleship, Prayer and worship, Fellowship and care, and Mission.
In a small group setting we can encourage and support each other as we develop and mature in our faith, in a way which isn't always possible when we meet together as a whole larger congregation.

What happens at a Home Group?
The format of the meetings varies from group to group, but opportunities for worship, prayer, learning from the Bible, discussion, pastoral support, and having fun together are common to all.
Current members speak of the way their personal faith has developed, their Bible knowledge has grown, and their confidence to speak to others about their faith in Christ has increased.
Being able to pray for others and receive prayer in a small group has enabled people to develop their prayer life, and learn to be open to the Holy Spirit.
Studying the Bible in home groups has opened up parts of God's word that were unfamiliar, or had seemed hard, and has sparked a new eagerness to read the Bible regularly.
The prayerful support and pastoral care provided by home groups has been particularly important for those facing difficult circumstances.
Being able to relax and have fun together has created a safe place to develop friendships with a group of people to share and pray with.
